Creative FLIP held its Final Conference on 9 June 2026, presenting its key outcomes to stakeholders from across the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries.
On 9 June 2026, policymakers, artists, cultural professionals and stakeholders from across Europe gathered at La Tricoterie in Brussels for FLIP Together: Imagining Creative Futures, the final conference of Creative FLIP. Over the course of the day, the event brought together the Creative FLIP community to reflect on more than seven years of collaboration and to explore how resilient creative futures can be built collectively.
The conference opened with an artistic intervention by participants of the Cross-Sectoral Pioneers program, followed by keynote speeches from European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport Glenn Micallef, Goethe-Institut Secretary General Johannes Ebert and Georg Häusler, Director-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture at the European Commission (DG EAC). Together, they highlighted the essential role of culture, creativity and cooperation in strengthening Europe's social and democratic resilience. Kristin Danielsen, CEO of the Nordic Culture Fund, delivered an inspirational talk on setting culture as a decisive factor in shaping tomorrow's societies.
Throughout the day, participants explored some of the most pressing challenges the Cultural and Creative Sectors are facing today. Panel discussions focused on the value of human creativity in disruptive times and the future of cultural policy. Interactive workshops and parallel sessions focused on a multitude of topics, from sustainable financing models and working conditions to intellectual property rights and the impact of artificial intelligence on the sector. All these elements encouraged exchange, experimentation and collective reflection.
The conference also showcased the project’s key achievements and main outcomes, demonstrating how Creative FLIP has contributed to strengthening resilience at individual, organisational, sectoral and ecosystemic levels through research, policy development, peer learning, and innovation.
More than a closing event, FLIP Together was a celebration of the community that shaped Creative FLIP. The event offered an opportunity to reconnect, share experiences, and look ahead to the future of Europe's cultural and creative ecosystems. As the project comes to a close, its legacy lives on through the networks, knowledge, and collaborations it has fostered across Europe.
