Get to know our 10 pairs of the Ambassadors of Good Practice programme

Ten exciting peer-to-peer exchanges take place in the upcoming months

We are excited to announce the selected 10 peer-learning exchanges for the Creative FLIP Ambassadors of Good Practice Programme. This initiative aims to identify and showcase exemplary practices on how local communities in non-urban areas are revitalised through arts and culture. These 5-day exchanges will bring together selected Hosts and Visitors to share knowledge, ideas, and inspiration.

The selected projects span a diverse range of sectors and countries, embodying the programme's commitment to foster cooperation in non-urban areas. Each chosen pair will engage in a five-day exchange between October 2025 and March 2026.

Following an Open Call for the Hosts and another one for the Visitors, the selection process was highly competitive. We would like to encourage all applicants to continue pursuing cross-disciplinary collaborations and rural revitalization through culture, as we saw great commitment and dedication in their proposals.

Below, we present the 10 selected pairs, along with a brief overview of what they will be working on in the coming months:

FarmLab, a semi-self-sufficient farm based in Kapfenstein, Austria, will welcome the Mountain Makers (France) for an immersive peer-learning experience rooted in the rhythms of rural life. The visiting peer will explore how creative practices, circular design, and community engagement can support sustainable rural regeneration.

Mayo County Council (Ireland) will participate in a peer exchange with La Finestra Community Hub, housed in an ancient tower in the heart of Casertavecchia, Italy. The exchange will spotlight Mayo’s interdisciplinary approach - where arts, heritage, literature, and language have long supported regeneration and revitalisation of their region.

Fundación Uxío Novoneyra, based in Galicia, Spain, will be hosting Associação das Cantadeiras do Vale do Neiva, an association dedicated to safeguarding traditional female polyphonic a cappella singing in Portugal. The host will offer an exchange focused on good practices in literary heritage, agroecology, and social museology, exploring inclusive cultural revitalisation in rural isolated and deserted contexts.

Valmiermuiža Association of Culture (Latvia) will welcome Pazin City Museum (Croatia) for an immersive experience in sustainable cultural regeneration. The visitor will explore the Valmiera county Manor network, engage with local stakeholders, and co-create ideas for cultural tourism and sustainability.

Maajaam, a farm for art and technology in rural Southern Estonia, will host the exchange with La Rivoluzione delle Seppie (Italy) and share their experience in sustainable artistic production, including insights from projects like Wild Bits. The visitor will engage in co-creation with local artists and residents, and experience traditional practices like the UNESCO-listed smoke sauna.

The exchange programme of Associazione Cherimus (Italy) with Cotranspose (Greece), a creative project aiming to reclaim spaces of belonging through practices of care, aims to share adaptable, co-creative methodologies for engaging diverse local stakeholders, while fostering meaningful connections between tradition and contemporary artistic practice.

Museumsverein Klostertal, a rural museum preserving the local cultural identity in Austria, will welcome Teach Siamsa Finuge, whose mission is to preserve and promote the rich folk heritage of North Kerry, Ireland. The programme focuses on participatory heritage work, community engagement, and intergenerational learning.

Asociacion Cultural Sende (Spain) will be the host of Cultural centre Schule, a cultural and educational organisation based in the Czech Republic and focused on connecting art, education, and social engagement. The visitor will join daily life in Senderiz while also taking time to swap experiences and tools, and unpack the how and why behind what Sende’s work.

Spazio Nour (Belgium) will have a peer exchange with Nástupište 1-12/ Platform 1-12, an independent contemporary culture platform based in Topoľčany, Slovakia. The exchange programme will take place during De Grond Die We Delen / The Ground We Share, a week-long participatory art festival held at the protected monument Kasteel Hof d’Intere in Wechelderzande.

Anykščiai Art Incubator – Art Studio in Lithuania will be welcoming REON, a contemporary centre for ceramic arts in Corfu, Greece. The vibrant peer-learning exchange in the heart of rural Lithuania will be focusing on creative entrepreneurship and community engagement. Set in a renovated heritage building, the programme will immerse the visitor in participatory activities with local residents and artists, as well as discussions with cultural policymakers.
