Modno kreiranje, Martina Marolt x OŠ Ljubno ob Savinji, Slovenia
During the LLab Wear the Change: Modular Sweaters and the Puzzle of Infinite Possibilities, students will dive into the world of fashion by designing their own modular sweaters with detachable, universal sleeves.
Through hands-on workshops, they will get creative by designing custom prints, explore garment-making, and discover how much time and effort goes into crafting a piece of clothing. Along the way, students will learn about sustainability, pattern design, fashion illustration, and branding, while also discovering the importance of intellectual property. From visiting a sewing studio to hands-on pattern making, students will be fully immersed in the process.
The co-creation project will result in a unique modular sweater for each student, designed and created by them. Each student will design custom prints and collaborate with a sewing studio and pattern maker to bring their individual creations to life. The sweaters will feature detachable, universal sleeves, offering a wide range of styling combinations.
At the end of the co-creation project, the students will showcase their creations in a final public exhibition at their school in June 2025, where creativity meets sustainable fashion. To add an extra layer of fun, students will calculate how many combinations their designs create, highlighting the endless possibilities of modular fashion.
